I just saw a listing on Ebay and texted the seller with one question - what are the last 6 digits of the VIN, and nothing else, LOL.

Nah- the last 6 are the sequential build numbers. Car is nearly a ringer for my first car, and happens to be within 10 miles of where I lived when I owned it.

The *only* difference that I can see is that the interior color is different. Otherwise, it’s identical. Worth a shot, for a car I sold almost 34 years ago.

Unrelated, but I have the last 7 digits of my E38's vin committed to memory, and it hasn’t been driven in 2 years.

Says more about the car than my memory. I don’t remember what I ate for dinner the day before yesterday.

Yeah I can be weird with numbers like that.

This car isn’t a match but interesting anyways because it’s so close.

I also have my drivers license number memorized, somehow. And I still remember my first phone number from when I was a kid which we had from ‘77-88.

Buy my in-my-head math skills are embarrassingly abysmal. Go figure.
